Folding DishwasherPrinter Friendly Version
It seems the only parts of a dishwasher that couldn't be folded down are the heating and washing elements. A folding-dishwasher could consist of a heat-resistant cover of waterproof fabric stretched over a collapsible frame. The frame would include tracks for racks to slide out of. The racks would also be collapsible. The cover would have a watertight slide-lock zipper to close up the dishwasher before running. Heating and jet elements and spaces for detergent would be on the bottom in a tray. Electric cords and water tubes would enter through sealed holes on the bottom in the back.
This would be good for people in small homes or RVs or for others to use as an auxiliary dishwasher when their dirty dishes won't all fit in their regular dishwasher.

A More Versatile and Easier to Clean Hand BlenderPrinter Friendly Version
I have a handheld blender/cake mixer/dough mixer from Braun that could be improved upon. I don't see even see this product (or anything like it) anymore on Amazon.com, where I found it. Hopefully someone could bring back a product with these features, plus the features I describe below. Alternatively, maybe someone could make aftermarket attachments for hand blenders with adapters for different models.
There are a number of places on hand blenders and their attachments that can be hard to reach to clean. I would prefer a hand blender with a removable blade on the blending attachment as cleaning underneath this blade can be difficult when attached. I'd also like a food chopping blade with a shaft that doesn't have any hard to reach or unreachable yet exposed spaces inside it. I have yet to find anything that can reach inside the shaft of my food chopping blade, where I see funk has collected.
While there is a hand held automatic shredder/slicer (the salad shooter), no one has combined such a device with a hand blender. I would like to see this done. There are probably other attachments that could be made for a hand blender, perhaps the many attachments for KitchenAid stand mixers could serve as inspiration.

Plug-in Thermostat Switch With Wireless SensorPrinter Friendly Version
This would be a device that you would plug into a wall and plug a heating appliance, such as a slow cooker or dehydrator, into the device. You would set the thermostat for the temperature you would like the food in the appliance to maintain, or possibly two temperatures: one for the appliance to turn on at when it falls below it and one for it to turn off at when it reaches it.
The sensor would be wireless, like some modern thermometers, and sealed such that it could be completely submerged in the food. Putting the sensor in the food is more accurate than putting it in the appliance, especially in a cold room.
Making it wireless and sealed would eliminate the problem of cords holding the lids and covers of appliances ajar. One could even screw the lid onto a jar with the sensor inside. This would be useful for anaerobic food ferments like sauerkraut. I would use it with a crockpot and a dehydrator that I bought at a thrift store.

Smart MicrowavePrinter Friendly Version
This state of the art Microwave oven can do the following: When you put food in it will quickly identify it and cook it for you with a time that will leave the food perfect (not too cold or hot). It uses cameras that create a 3D image of the food and sensors that can penetrate the food to see what's inside. After identifying the food the microwave will offer a time that the micro thinks is appropriate or a custom time that the user can input (touchscreen). Also the micro can detect stuff that's not food and shouldn't even be there such as metal, plastic etc. and will not operate until the object is removed. It can hold 1GB of music to play while food is cooking or if you want music when in the kitchen. As for safety the micro can be limited to certain features without a password. It can also connect to the internet for updates to its knowledge of foods and recommended times (wireless internet). It can also save presets or custom times for foods that are cooked often. Scenario: Bill wants to heat up hot pockets so he puts them in the microwave and 5 seconds later the microwave starts (on its own). Bill has the settings to automatically play music while cooking food. The food is ready and the microwave stops the music and a human voice (not the beeping sound) says "your food is ready Bill". Bill opens the microwave and takes the food out. The touchscreen offers choices "continue music play back?" YES or NO.

Silent pressure coockerPrinter Friendly Version
It's really noisy when the pressure from a pressure cooker is released from the whistle at the top of the lid.
So if we use such a mechanism which lets the steam being released directly into top air thus reducing any kind of collision of steam with metal causing less noise. No worries about burning your face from the hot steam, because steam coming out of small hole at large pressure cools instantly as it comes to open space (pressure is negligible in comparison).
I even thought of a design using the simple mechanism of a jotter pen refill tom and the press button on the pen; which on pressing makes the refill rotate as it comes down so that it can be used for writing. So if we use the same sliding mechanism when the pressure from the cooker acts like the pen button that gets pressed and then when the slider goes to the topmost position a few small trough holes provided on the lid as well as slider will coincide and the pressure will be successfully and without much noise. Then the slider comes back to its original position with the help of spring.
No irritation of your ears as food is being cooked in your pressure cooker.
Reward: Just send me one such cooker so that i can sit in peace while my rice is being cooked!!!
