Domains For Sale  Printer Friendly Version
Domains names can be registered for varying periods of time - 1 year, 2 years or 10 years. When the registration period expires, the original owner can re-register it or failing that it enters the public domain where it is then sold on a first come, first served basis. Many sites cater for this expired domain market, which indicates that there is a huge demand for them.
For somebody whose name was about to expire and who had been unable to sell it on some form of return, however small that might be would probably be welcome. A site could therefore be set up dedicated to selling names whose registration had 2 months or less to run. The names could be sold on a sliding scale basis, starting at $50 for 8 weeks to go and reducing by $5 for every week thereafter.
A ready market would exist for both buyer and seller. The buyer would gain a name very cheaply before it enters the public domain whilst the seller would salvage something from his original investment. Profits from the site could be derived from advertising revenues or from charging a small fee for each transaction. I am unaware that any company is providing this service.

Idea against Aponea Printer Friendly Version
I have been diagnosed with a condition called sleep aponea meaning I snore badly and wake up my body many times during the night resulting in poor sleep patterns and constant tiredness. The traditional remedy is a process called CPAP where you sleep in a mask and air is forced down your throat to prevent your body thinking it's suffocating and unconsciously not resting, but as I live in the impoverished UK my local health service cannot afford to treat me, they also class it as an unimportant condition despite my doctor saying it could be fatal, read what you like into the UK's reputation for health provision, I would like to pay to have my treatment abroad but don't know how to process that part of it.
Anyways I have an idea of implanting metallic strips into my neck and then wearing a collar with magnets desined to attach to the strips to the same polarity so as to magnetically repel the strips when the throat constricts and prevent a blockage of the airway, therefore keeping the airway open and preventing aponea. Any ENT surgeons out there interested inusing me as a guinea pig?

Revolutionary headphones Printer Friendly Version
One of the biggest drawbacks of headphones is that they block oxygen supply to the ears. Hence when you use them more than a few hours a day you start getting ear related problems. So my idea is a head phone that won't give you any problems, even if you use them for 8 hours+ or more ( you know people in the service industry call centers etc , basically those people who are not audiophiles.)
These head phone will have two modes, simple (no amplification) and powered mode (sound amplified by an external source). Now the most important part . These will be absolutely non contact head phones i.e they will not touch any part of your ears. The mounting will have to be designed in such a way that both the speakers hang tightly near the ears without touching them. The head band will lock on the head over the ears and by using a special adjustment meter, the user can define the distance of each speaker from his ear lobe. Once the adjustment is done, the next time the user just wears the headphone and they fit exactly at the place where he wants without touching the ears. Have you tried this? Just take two speakers very close to your ears, don't touch them and listen to the rich surround experience that you get and your ears do not hurt. This is what the new head phone design will offer.
