Med-info Chip Printer Friendly Version
Medical information is life! I would like to have all of my info (med's, dr phone#, allergys, conditions, etc.) on a SD chip these are the little 1/2 by 1/2 inch chips in digital camers and palm pilots that store information. They can hold 128 megs which in the right media is my life story's worth. Then if something happened to me the emt could pop it in his palm and know all they need inc. my insurance co. and who to call and what my needs may be. I could wear it around my neck or in a charm on my key chain. Not too big, but easy to find and easy to update on my pc. It could save time in a new dr.'s office, and could be the new standerd for hospitals, too. This would be current info to help save a life. Think about all the lives and time this could save.
Reward: knowing that this use of available tec. was used for the good of all people.

Configurable Ear Plugs Printer Friendly Version
With unwanted emails it's easy: You can place any address on a "No thank you!" list, and you will never again receive an email from that particular person (unless he or she changes the address, but that's a different story). Wouldn't it be wonderful to have the same options for the "junk" that reaches your brain via your ears?
Boys, just imagine: You can talk to your buddies without having to listen to what your girlfriend is telling you about her latest shopping trip. - Girls: Annoyed by that idiot sitting next to you at the bar who has been talking to you for more than half an hour, although you have showed no sign of interest? Just configure your ear plugs accordingly, and you will still be able to chit-chat with that handsome barkeeper.
Or just imagine you are stuck in a train compartment on your way to an important meeting, and the baby next door keeps screaming all night. Or maybe you are the mother, and you do want to hear your baby, but not the voice of that idiot complaining...
There would be infinite applications for this invention.
Reward: A lifetime supply of configurable ear plugs would be just the thing for me.

Acceleration Light Printer Friendly Version
When you are stuck in traffic, brake lights on the car in front of you only tell half of the story.
How often have you accelerated to catch up with the car in front of you only to have to slam on brakes because the car in front of you was not accelerating but getting ready to brake. whew! close call.
Well, if you are paying attention, there shouldn't need to be a reason for close calls.
This simple innovation of just adding a "green" colored light on the back of cars to indicate when the car was accelerating would let traffic flow more like a train. There would be less congestion and less accidents. Everyone could essentially accelerate, coast, and brake simultaneously which would basically eliminate the traffic phenomenon, "shockwave".
Implementing the idea into production now would mean only some cars would have this light. NO problem. That just means you have to be extra careful around cars without the light just like you are now.
Reward: some time of recognition (like a plaque)for my idea from the person that actually gets this patented, for service to mankind and safety.
