| Neural Networks to Model Guitar Amps
Currently there are many guitar "modellers" available to recreate sounds via DSP of various well known amps - but they never sound or respond "just right".How about using Neural Networks to come up with accurate transfer functions to process straight guitar input signals to realistic sounding and responding amplifier output signals? You train the networks by playing the guitar through the actual amp you want to model, and use backpropogation of error to define the specific amp transfer fucntion over some training time.Reward: Iron Maiden to play at my Birthday Party at my house.

| Carpet Pad Insulation
I have lived in several concrete slab houses where the floors are always cold. I believe that a carpet manufacture could come up with an insulating carpet pad that would allow retrofitting of floor insulation into all these houses. The second part would be to come up with an electrically heated pad, much like an electric blanket to install in these types of houses. It would lie under the carpet, that would give it some protection from abrasion. The rest of the protection would come in the form of heavy wire insulation. It might be expensive to heat a whole house this way, but it would be good for small areas such as bathroom or living room. It could even be produced in a small portable throw rug type, waterproof of course, for use in a bath room.

| Electric Power Gutters
This plastic replacement downspout would feature small directional water wheels in the gutter and small generators wired together with weather proof wiring on the outside of the downspout. The most electricity would be produced if each descending waterwheel was only allowed to spin in the opposite direction the wheel above it would spin. The generators would have alternating polarity in their generating magnets to create a DC current. This would save an unknown amount on your electric bill, depending on how much it rains. The top of the gutter would need a guard to stop leaves and other debris from entering.Reward: Installation on a moderate house of my choice.
