| Premanufactured Indoor Blanket Tent
Imagine all your child's dreams coming true with the indoor blanket tent. You could use it too, for a cozy night. It could come in your choice of fabrics and fabric designs and be made of blankets or comforters. It would have a regular, hard, plastic tent structure to hold it together and you could get rid of all those chairs and old blankets you used to build the tents out of. You could zip it up and even include a sleeping bag design into it and built in stuffed animals that would detach for added comfort. It would stay warm and dark and you could read scary stories with a book light or flash light like all kids dream of. Or add an overhead night light. This idea comes from my past and I was never able to build a proper tent from a common blanket and now, you don't even need to try. Just get a blanket/comforter tent for yourself and you're all set. If your children wont sleep in bed(s) then this is the best alternative. They could have all their own privacy and feel really grown up and have adventures without leaving the house or even leaving their rooms. Many children have wild imaginations and love to think they are somewhere else unsupervised and if they can feel that way in safety then you and your children are all happier. I think we need adult sizes too, because I think I want one too! How about you? You can add all the extra features of todays outdoor tents into this indoor version as well like, mosquito netting, mesh roofs, or anything special to make them and you feel grown up. Add that jungle theme music or watch your portable DVD with your favorite movie or cartoon and the kids will be busy for days. You wont see them until they graduate high school or college!Reward: Credit

| Non-GPS-based, computer interfaced, in home, cat tracker
I saw the GPS-based doggy locator system post. Has anyone done this one? Use one or three (triangulation) in-home reciever/transmitters (maybe paintable, to blend into corners of ceiling) to track and record the exact location of your cat(s), while in the house (or any location in the range)? It seems like it wouldn't necessarily need a really high-power or sophisticated transmitter/receiver. . . I would've used this when we trained our second cat to use the toilet. She would occasionally use a few, favorite areas when she forgot about using the toilet. We didn't want to (but did) have to cover up or otherwise use physical blockades and clutter up our, already small, place. The system would set off an audible command from a stereo (or shock on collar, or have small, portable, remote water squirt/sprayers, -whatever) when the pet is in a pre-programmed, discretely defined, off-limits areas. It could be linked to your PC and use a program that knows the boundaries of your home (area, whatever). You'd first take the collar around these boundaries of your place so the computer program could learn/outline the volume of range. Then you could go around and set "NO!" zones (our cats know what "NO!" and "Good Kitty" means). One could change the location and size of "NO!" zones from the computer, without moving obstacles. One could also record where the kitties have been while you are gone or where they are now, if they like to hide and sleep. It seems like having three, inexpensive reciever/transmitters would allow for realiability as well as pinpoint locating - to keep cats off vertically different surfaces like the counters, away from small "visited" spots on the carpet (cats can detect even well-cleaned areas), while allowing them freedom to roam anywhere else.Reward: Joy of seeing a low-cost system developed and work, and maybe get a free one and/or whatever the developer sees as fair.

| Spherical Laundry Basket Cage
My idea is a laundry basket cage which is spherical in design. The advantage of this design is that it can be rolled down stairs or along the floor using the hands or feet to propel forward toward its destination. There are no wheels or handles to this unit.Made from the same flexible basket-weave plastic that is used on the sides of tradional laundry baskets, the laundry basket cage has a serviceably large, round hinged opening for loading and unloading the laundry. Closing the hatch completes the sperical design. It's now ready to be kicked and/or rolled down the stairs, along the hallway toward the laundry room. When being used as a hamper or when unloading into the washer, there is a separate round plastic "stabilizing ring" where the cage rests. This plastic ring will sit on the floor under the cage, steadying the sphere. The ring is made of the same light-weight plastic as the laundry cage. This begs the question, what about when you want to return folded clothes to other parts of the house? In the bottom of the cage is a shallow flattened surface for folded laundry. The lid (hatch) has an inset cut-out handle for carrying the sphere.Carrying laundry baskets at arm's length is one of the hardest household chores. With gravity and its "basket ball" design, the laundry basket cage makes half the job easier. Kids would be more inclined to get their laundry to the wash room. College kids would be kickin' their laundry basket cages all over campus town.Reward: I'd like a lifetime supply of the laundry basket cages. Six should last me for a good long time.
