Beverage Can Turned Into It's Own Cup Printer Friendly Version
You could have a pull tab that removes the entire lid of a beverage can with one pull and have the sides perfectly round and safe for drinking from eliminating the use of a cup and helping reduce that dribble down your chin from the small hole in an average beverage can. It would in effect turn the can into a cup where you could add ice or any other ingredient or you could freeze the can for long term storage and dump it into a cup (very fast) or make a great tasting slushy type drink by blending it. Just try and get a frozen beverage out of a small hole in the standard top of a can!
And when you're really thirsty you could really chug any liquid out of this kind of can; no air restrictions!
Reward: Too be able to place ice in a can of pop without dirtying a single cup rather than doing the dishes all the time!

A new drinking straw Printer Friendly Version
A drinking straw that is a oval rather than round tube. This has multi-usage given that more and more drinks now have non-liquid ingredients. Examples are black jelly pearls in bubble tea and puree in aloe vera drinks.
In fact in Asia many freshly made tropical drinks contain various jellies, beans, fruit cocktails. Take-away drinks as such require a spoon to scoop. A drinking straw with oval tube large enough to draw up these ingredients will be more convenient.

Ice At the Bottom Of The Glass Printer Friendly Version
Have you ever got a drink on a hot day filled with lots of ice to keep it cool. But when you try and drink it the ice gets in the way of drinking it as quick as you want to. My idea is to put the ice in the glass first and add a plastic filter into the glass to trap the ice at the bottom and then pour the drink in. This is really simple but it would hold the ice at the bottom of the glass keeping the drink cool, and it would not get in the way of you drinking it.
