Utensil shelves that come up to me Printer Friendly Version
It's really frustrating to have to bend down to retrieve things from bottom shelves, though something has to go down because of space. Having a shelf like a giant wheel for kids (like in amusement parks) where the trays always hang off the wheels and always stay horizontal would solve my problem. I can flip the wheel and get the tray I need come to the top and then pick up or place an item. Only problem could be to keep the trays horizontal even when the items are not kept in a balanced fashion.

Beer Can Decompression Chamber Printer Friendly Version
It happens to me fairly often that I want to cool down a can of beer quickly and put it in the freezer - but then forget about it. Next day, the can is burst open and the beer is frozen - and once your beer melts, it tastes flat and ugly.
I've heard though that it's not the freezing process that causes the beer to go flat, but that the carbonation gets lost during thawing (when the can isn't airtight anymore). If true, a beer (de)compression chamber might be the answer - put the frozen can inside and save your precious beer from ending up in the sink.

Easy Clean Glasses Printer Friendly Version
I work in a yacht club and on an average evening I probably have to put about 1000 glasses through the machine, my idea is as follows:
Wine glasses with a special coating, which is completely water resistant. Water would just roll straight off of it leaving no trace of its content. Like the water off a ducks back, leaving it completely dry.
This would greatly speed up the cleaning and drying process, currently you have to wipe over every single glass getting rid of all the water. But if the water rolled straight off that's half the job done.
I have not looked into the health and safety side, but I'm sure there's a non-harmful coating that could be used.
Unless you do the work I do you could not understand how helpful this would be.
