Talk with your Pets Printer Friendly Version
We already know about voice recognition. Now imagine what will happen if we create Pet voice recognition.
It can be done with todays technology, it will be really simple for those who develop it. Put a tiny wireless microphone connected to the computer in the pet's neck belt (for freedom of movement). Put a wireless speaker phone head set on you connected to the computer. Record all the things that your pet does after a certain sound it makes. If the matching sound already exists in the database then the program should tell you what the pet is going to do. After a period the pet will learn what to expect from you when it does a certain sound.
Maybe you will start chatting with it?
Reward: Email everybody in your addressbook asking them to go http://www.creativitypool.com and search for "zyx" and thank me at zyxRationalist@yahoo.com

Electronic aquarium fishes Printer Friendly Version
I have had some problems with aquarim fishes and their khm* short life span. It would be ideal to have electronic aquarium fishes that would swim around, without need to feed them, and watch temperature. They could work on small batteries or on hidrogen or oxygen, and you could change their colors hehe skins.
Reward: Few of those.

"Miniature" Cats Printer Friendly Version
Some people may say this isn't exactly an invention, but I'm sure cat lovers worldwide would love it if someone created a cat breed that stays small and kittenlike forever. Through the years, miniature dog breeds have flourished; why is it that there are no miniature cat breeds? I can think of a dozen dog breeds that retain their puppylike appearance, yet the typical housecat is doomed to going from adorable, petite furball to big, fat furball within a year or two! :-)
Reward: A "Forever Kitten" of my own...possibly replacing my own fat furballs...just kidding!
