The Mind Map Search Engine Printer Friendly Version
The current search engine is quite bothersome. When searching for a particular subject, the results will not appear in one screen, rather, in many different pages in different categories, such as websites, images, and videos. So when we want to search for a particular subject, no matter what form it is in, either an image or a website, we have to continuously click on the categories that opens up a new page, and endlessly scroll down until we find the preferable result.
To fix this nuisance, the search engine should be designed like a mind-map. Each category will take form of a bubble. The main bubble, on the middle, will have the most relevant results from all categories and the connected sub-bubbles will have results of specific categories, such as websites, images, and videos. So, instead of continuously scrolling down and clicking on a new page, the results will all fit in one screen, making it easier for us to find our results.

Geological tour / zombie attack :) Printer Friendly Version
Eastern Oregon has a lot of ghost towns and a lot of cool rock formations/fossil beds. This could be a day trip or an overnighter depending on where the tour starts. Participants get a bus tour of Eastern Oregon with geology lectures and rock hunting. somewhere along the way, near a ghost town the bus "breaks down" -maybe overheats- and participants have to leave the bus to get water -or whatever- to get back on the road, fighting zombies along the way (airsoft only). It may be possible to charge a small amount to be a zombie.

Lighting tool for artists Printer Friendly Version
There may already be something like this out there, but how about an app and/or program that allows one to create or upload a 3d shape, and experiment with different lighting sources on it? They could pick the direction the light source(s) are coming from, along with the color, intensity, and size of the lighting. The texture/reflectiveness of the target object could also be modified. This would be an invaluable resource for people who like to draw/paint from imagination, but need some additional reference.
Reward: Satisfaction of having a good point of reference.
