Picture Delay Button for TVs Printer Friendly Version
It has happened to everyone: You have been watching a sports event for nearly two hours and nothing spectacular has happened. So you decide to go fetch a beer. The moment you're in the kitchen, you hear the commentator yelling and the audience roaring like mad. You run back to the living room to see what's going on, but by the time you're there it's all over. (Ok, they might show you a replay, but it's not the same thing...)
The solution: Push the "Picture Delay" button on your remote control before setting off for the kitchen. With this feature, the picture will lag ten seconds behind the sound. If you hear that there's something exiting going on, you have enough time to return to your TV set and see it on the screen.

Digital Wallpaper Printer Friendly Version
Do you change your wallpaper every month or so? Are you tired of the same old boring wallpaper designs on your wall? Changing the wallpaper can be really hard too. The digital wallpaper could change that. it would be digital paper or some kind of very thin screen that would fit on your walls. A small computer box that would also be on the wall would be able to download any image or pattern you want and put it on the digital paper or screen so you could change wallpaper every day if you wanted to. Cool, eh?
Reward: Digital Wallpaper for every room in my house!

Hi Speed Rail System Printer Friendly Version
The U.S. presently has thousands of miles of Interstate Highway right-of-ways. Why not build a hi-speed elevated rail system that crosses the U.S. There is usually plenty of room in the medians. If the system is elevated there would be no need for crossing etc. The system could be built with ready-made concrete and steel components that would be easy to construct. These trains could have speeds in excess of 120 MPH. It could also have cars that would transport the family auto. In addition, it could be a public works project that would employ thousands of people similiar to the TVA and the building of the Hoover Dam.
Reward: I would like to travel across the country on such a train.
