Warming Lotion Printer Friendly Version
Just as sunscreen keeps out the harmful rays of the sun, how about a lotion that blocks cold temperatures from hitting our skin? Just rub on the lotion and you are wearing an invisible protective "coat" to keep you warm! Wear it under clothing for added warmth in very cold climates. Take it with you hiking in the mountains and if the weather changes suddenly and turns chilly, stop and rub on your special lotion. Great for swimming in cold water without having to wear a wet suit. Excellent for emergency situations like when the power goes out in the winter and you cannot heat your house.
Reward: A lifetime supply of lotion.

Video Party Printer Friendly Version
This may sound nuts. But i have an idea for an invention for parties. Not that we dance or anything at the parties I go to, but what if videos or DVD's were sold of music videos. While they are playing, bright lights flash. Strobes, colors, anything. Kinda a rave thing. But I figure why rent lights or have to make mix CD's most TV's have good sound or a surround sound system. I'm not saying this is going to be popular for epileptics, but everyone else should survive. Just a thought. If you don't think it will work, turn on Cop's turn off the lights in your house, and look at the walls when they pull someone over. It gets pretty bright. Tell me what you think.

Maintenance-Free Shade-Trees Printer Friendly Version
They've already discovered maintenance-free grass (requiring no mowing). Now, how about botanists developing a tree whose growth can be controlled to a certain height, and which either has evergreen leaves, or else leaves that aren't a pain to rake. I think the honey-locust may have more manageable leaves, but can it grow in cool climates, too? In hot weather it's energy-efficient to have shade trees cooling the house, but they're such a PAIN to maintain. If only there were a solution!
Reward: Best of all the worlds, labor-free shade.
