Restaurant Menu Bingo Printer Friendly Version
I have a new idea for a restaurant promotion game. The chef/restaurant owner chooses a certain combination from the menu - e.g. spinach soup + small Pepsi + fruit cake. You win the game by ordering exact this combination from the menu - the only problem is that you don't know what it is. The winner of the game takes the jackpot, which will be increased by a certain amount every day, until someone finally places the winning order (of course, the prize money has to be spent at the restaurant). Then, a new combination of orders is chosen (possibly at random) and a new round of the game starts.
Of course, the details would depend on the particular restaurant, e.g. if the order has to be placed in one and by the same person, or if it's enough that the people at the same table order the particular dishes during the course of a meal/evening.
Reward: Free food if I ever happen to visit the restaurant

Interactive Golf Printer Friendly Version
This is more of a software game design idea. I have had it for several years now and I know I am not going to get around to doing it so I am throwing it out there because I would love to see it done.
You all know how they have golf video games that you can play against people online. What I think would be great is if they made a game where you can actually play against the real pros during a real tournament.
Say the tournament starts on Thursday and you get up in the morning and start up the game and get matched up with Tiger Woods. When he actually tees off, you see a computer image of him teeing off and his shot. Now it is your turn and you tee off. You play the entire match with him and then you play the next day and are matched up accordingly on your score.
We have the technology to do this ... all matches are filmed live and the internet makes it easy to do this. I just think this would be a great market for everyone to want to get involved (PGA, game designers, and such).
Reward: A couple games and a little credit for the thought.

New mode for international football tournaments Printer Friendly Version
Fun facts:

The last two Soccer World Championships were 0-0 after 90 minutes.

The last two copa americas were 0-0 after 90 minutes.

The last European Championship was 0-0 after 90 minutes.
Since I am really sick of big football (i. e. soccer) tournament finals always being nill-nill after 90 minutes, I propose the following:
- Always have a game for third place. (In the World Championship, there is, but in the European Championship, there actually isn't.)

- If in the finals, there is no goal after 90 minutes, both finalists are disqualified, and the winner of the game for third place will be declared champion.
Consequences: Instead of having just one typically boring final, you get two exciting matches. #1 the game for third place will be meaningful, as the winner could still become champion. #2 the finals will be more interesting, as both teams will scramble and push hard to somehow score a goal, the longer the game progresses.
Note that the finalists will only be disqualified if there are no goals. A 1-1 after 90 minutes is fine, then the game will continue into overtime, as usual.
