Infernal Combustion Engine Printer Friendly Version
Instead of developing cars which depend on massive gasoline burning engines with very small batteries, create a small car with a powerful battery charged by a very efficient infernal combustion engine to charge the large battery. Surely a small engine could charge the battery sufficiently to do commuter trips every day.

Frequency-based search in home Printer Friendly Version
This is yet another search solution for things you may lose within you own four walls - but with a new twist.
Remember those key pendandts that made sound when you whistle? Something like that for finding small objects like phone or remotes. There would be one base unit (appliance). You could change frequency on it (135, 136,137 ...) with simple + - buttons. When click on send it would transmit that frequency in small area. Enough for house or flat.
Each small object would come with receiver set to certain frequency. Remote will respond with some sound when it hears frequency 135. DVD remote to 136. Phone (handset) would respond to 138.
Receivers could be on stickers. You would get package of 10 when you buy base unit. You could glue it to small objects.
Reward: New remote for VHS.

Scarf Lock Printer Friendly Version
The sticky part of velcro will grab the material of your average scarf quite nicely. I have found that two such pieces of velcro, back-to-back, will lock a scarf in place. Securing the scarf even in a good wind. The whole scarf is used not just most of it. For example, most people lay the beginning end of the scarf on their shoulder, wrap the scarf around a few times and lay the trailing end on a shoulder, but they have to do this because there was no way to keep it tight. With the scarf lock, if you like that name, just press the fore part of your scarf against your face and wrap to your desired tension around your head. When you get to the trailing end you press the velcro against it and then press that against the remaining scarf around your head. Sandwiching the velcro in the scarf. There is one problem, because constantly using the velcro tears at the fabric, it may ruin your favorite scarf over time. However from a business point of view this forces the customer to buy another scarf anyway. Which is actually what a business would want, right?
