Commercial Time On-Screen Timer
No more having to guess when your show will come back on and you can run to the bathroom and do any activity if we could see how long the commercials were before the show comes back on. We could hear an audible ten second countdown to show restart to return on time. This would be preferable to the commercial cut out of today since we might actually want to see certain commercials.Reward: Aaron Steven Burns

Rain Countdown
Have you ever been barbecuing or travelling with you bike or done some other outdoor activity, and you looked at the overcast sky worrying when exactly it was gonna start raining?Well, when the rain finally hits you, it has already been falling for some time (a minute or possibly more). So I'm wondering if it's possible to create a cheap device that'll detect the exact moment the rain starts falling and warn you. A minute advance notice can be extremely valuable - you can evacuate your CDs, get everyone inside, find shelter, etc.Reward: One such a device for me (plus free repairs)

Solar blanket
Solar blankets would be a great invention in places like New York. First of all, a homeless person could easily save for one and still sleep outdoors without losing heat. They would also come in handy on long trips. Simply lay it out in the sun before the night and use it to feel at home on the road. And camping trips! You would lay it out during a time you are hiking or doing some other activity and then have a toasty night. Simply made, almost microscopic solar panels would be stitched into the blanket and absorb solar enerygy. Is this to complicated and not worth the trouble? And I am just gessing when i say, they would cost quite a bit.
