Spherical Laundry Basket CagePrinter Friendly Version
My idea is a laundry basket cage which is spherical in design. The advantage of this design is that it can be rolled down stairs or along the floor using the hands or feet to propel forward toward its destination. There are no wheels or handles to this unit.
Made from the same flexible basket-weave plastic that is used on the sides of tradional laundry baskets, the laundry basket cage has a serviceably large, round hinged opening for loading and unloading the laundry. Closing the hatch completes the sperical design. It's now ready to be kicked and/or rolled down the stairs, along the hallway toward the laundry room.
When being used as a hamper or when unloading into the washer, there is a separate round plastic "stabilizing ring" where the cage rests. This plastic ring will sit on the floor under the cage, steadying the sphere. The ring is made of the same light-weight plastic as the laundry cage.
This begs the question, what about when you want to return folded clothes to other parts of the house? In the bottom of the cage is a shallow flattened surface for folded laundry. The lid (hatch) has an inset cut-out handle for carrying the sphere.
Carrying laundry baskets at arm's length is one of the hardest household chores. With gravity and its "basket ball" design, the laundry basket cage makes half the job easier.
Kids would be more inclined to get their laundry to the wash room. College kids would be kickin' their laundry basket cages all over campus town.
Reward: I'd like a lifetime supply of the laundry basket cages. Six should last me for a good long time.

The Power Pourer 2000Printer Friendly Version
Don't you hate it when you've just come home and you go to pour a glass of milk, and its all the way full? So before you know it, the milk missed the glass and you have another mess to clean up. With this handy invention, you don't even have to use your hands to pour. You simply put the gallon carton in the basket and use the lever to pull down the basket. Its impossible to spill! :)
Reward: No more sticky stuff to clean up! :)

Leaf RollerPrinter Friendly Version
My idea is to make a garden tool that looks exactly like a lawn roller, with numerous spikes protruding from the roller to gather the leaves. This equipment would have a horizontal flat bar fixed across the roller frame to knock off the leaves {as the roller turned} into a collecting box or basket, which would also be secured to the framework. The basket should be easily removable to deposit the leaves in the usual place . All parts would be manufactured from plastic materials [pliable or firm] as required, to enable the roller to be easily pushed over all types of ground surfaces. If it should be possible to make and market such an item of garden equipment,it would be of great benefit to those of us who live in close proximity to trees.[Especially at this time of year].
Reward: To be able to purchase one.

Clipper catchersPrinter Friendly Version
Toe nail clippers are great but just like the old 1 hole punches why not make a clipper that will catch the clip instead of having to lean your foot over a basket, toilet, etc. So modify the clipper so that it has some sort of little basic that catches the clipping that can then be dumped out
Reward: 2 of item

Cafe CutsPrinter Friendly Version
This would be a combination of a beauty salon and a coffee shop. You would be able to have a latte while having your hair or nails done, a great way to pass the time while having a pedicure. During the late hours of the day, there could be a live jazz band playing, and maybe a 1/2 price manicure & poetry reading night.
Reward: A nice big gift basket and a Cafe Cuts built somewhere in Southwest Florida.
