Want to have more "room" in your room?Printer Friendly Version
When some friends comes in to your house, don't you want them to say "Wow! You have an organized clean room!"? Well, now if your closet is always throwing up clothes out of it and you dont want anyone seeing how unorganized and/or lazy you are, you can use this advice:
Have a closet that would actually push into your wall and a door would cover it like there's nothing there! To get the closet out, there would be wheels under it. It wouldn't show if your closet is just a blast. Then your mom doesn't have to worry about yelling at you to clean your room and you don't have to worry about cleaning it.
Reward: Have a closet like that in my room, perhaps?

Room RounderPrinter Friendly Version
We seem to spend the majority of our time in square environments filled with 90 degree right angles. A standard room in a typical live/work structure is designed with walls joined together at 90 degree angles (ie. a square room with 4 walls). I once heard of a study which found that people tend to feel more 'creative' and relaxed in curvilinear or 'natural' environments. It makes sense to me that 'we' as creative 'beings' would function better in environments that would better support our inherent nature.
I propose a floor to ceiling rounded (concave) 'corner insert' for the home or office transforming ones interior space into a 'softer' more creative environment. People would install the 'Room Rounder' after market without the help of a contractor.

Water Bed Chairs And Couches Etc.Printer Friendly Version
Living room furniture made from water bed, liquid cushion furniture. This would be more comfortable and conform better to you back side (your butt) than gel cushion, but you could add a gel cushion backing for extra support. Basically you have a comfortable foam box shaped holding tank for the seat cushion filled with a water bed, liquid filled cushion. This takes the support and comfort from the bed room and brings it to the rest of the furniture in the house; your living room arm chairs and couches or any other furniture that can use this type of cushioning.
Reward: A whole living room full of this type of furniture!

Power Saver Sensor for TVsPrinter Friendly Version
I have a son who constantly leaves the TV on when leaving the room. Often it can be on for an hour or more without anyone watching. I propose an infrared/motion sensor similar to burglar alarms be built into the TV to determine whether anyone is watching. If nobody is in the room for more than 2 minutes (or other specified time), the screen drops out (in the same fashion as computer monitors go into power saving mode). The sound remains on but drops out a little later. Finally, the TV goes to standby mode. Of course, if the watcher re-enters the room after only a short absence, the sensor detects this and immediately turns on the screen again.
Reward: Knowing I helped to save the environment and a TV with this capability.

Reflective DesignsPrinter Friendly Version
There is reflective material that is added to children's clothing and boots sometimes, etc. I love this and would find it interesting to have an artistic design created from it. You could have something for the living room, or children's room (would be great for the little ones when darkness arives). You could go crazy with themes for this (Egyptian, flowers for girls, fish, religious, whatever your fancy might be).
Reward: world's biggest sand dollar
