Tracking your lifePrinter Friendly Version
A service provider can come up with this idea. The person is wearing a watch/device, that monitors his heart beats. The device is also a GPRS, which correctly specifies his location at any point of time. If the person subscribes to this service, his life is guaranteed to be in safe hands. The service provider has got branches all over the world. The service provider could club with the Medical Institutions / other service providers for any help a client will require at any point of time. The help he requires could be when he's had a heart attack or is in a desperate situation @ some wee hours. The device beeps an SOS to the monitoring station, and be it any place, anywhere in the world, and you don't have your loved ones and friends and relatives around. The service provider takes complete care of the client. I think it's a good idea for people who walk alone. And we help them continue in their journey to walk alone.

Concert reminder servicePrinter Friendly Version
A service desperately needed is a concert reminder service: you create a profile where you enter your location as well as the bands you like, and the system will send you an email as soon as it's known that one of "your" bands is coming to town. Getting an email along the lines of "Hey Steve, we just got word that The Kills will be coming to town next April - secure your tickets now" would be just so much nicer than reading in the newspaper how The Kills rocked the local club this past weekend.
Needless to say that anyone providing such a service could earn a ton of money by providing links to ticket companies, so I'm really somewhat surprised that something like this doesn't seem to exist (yet).

Electronic MenuPrinter Friendly Version
After all the bad experiences I have had in restaurants, I have decided that there should be an electronic menu on each table. I hate going out to eat, paying alot of money for it, and then having poor service. I also can't stand getting something that I did not order. Sometimes bad service can lead to no business for restaurants. This would be a simple menu that everyone could use. Customers can touch the items they want on a touch screen. It would also eliminate the wait time for customers who are in a hurry. This menu is not meant to replace waiters. This menu could actually help the waiters because it leaves less room for error, which means a bigger tip.
Reward: More relaxing meals, maybe a small profit for me!

Rent a Gadget ServicePrinter Friendly Version
More and more pdas, gadgets... coming out every day. I really want to get hand on some of them but not buying them. I know you can buy them and return them (morally not very good) or sell them on ebay (too much hassle and a couple days of usage can reduce a lot of value. And I don't care playing with a used gadget).
So why don't we have services for renting gadgets for play? The manufacture should be happy that customers pay for trying their products.
The question is that how much would I like to pay?
For example, I won't like to pay 300$ to rent one $400 gadget for one year. But I would like to pay $300 memership fee per year for renting 20 gadgets priced from under 100$ to 6 or 7 hundred.
Or I may like to pay $20 to have a hot gadget for 1-2 days. That is $3000-$6000 dollars a year from the service provider.

Relationship reminderPrinter Friendly Version
Why is there such a high rate of failure in not only marriage but also relationships with partners, children, etc.
My personal opinion is that we do not remind ourselves to think about our spouse enough. The bottom line is that we do not have an alarm in our heads or a reminder bow tied around our fingers to remember some important things. We have reminders for everything, alarms to wake up, reminders to make meetings, a calendar to tell you holiday dates, palm pilots, beeps to let you know your food is done, calling services, pagers, etc. etc. and NONE remind you to think about the ones that you love.
Nothing that reminds you that you are married (when you are at the bars drinking and possibly carousing), about when you met, how you met, that they need you, that if you make certain choices how this could affect you, something that reminds you about the little things, gives you ideas on the spur of the moment on how to show the little things. (i.e. drive to you wife/husbands office and leave a note on her/his car asking for lunch date, etc.).
My idea is this: Service (web-based planner of sorts). This would not only be a service but a product as well. What the service will accomplish is that it will be your subconscious on steroids specifically helping to focus you on the one that you love based on the systems time frame and not on yours.
This service will send reminders, ideas, things to think about, things to remember, things to do, things to say, things to look forward to, Goals reached, goals to strive for, music to move you, special offers of dinner for two, movies, dates, tid bits of information about your partner/ spouse directly driven by, days of birth (i.e. what happened the year your spouse/partner was born, what happened in the world the same day you were married, engaged, first met etc. etc.)
The easy part is that the service will think for you and will not wait for you to get around to thinking for yourself.
This service will tie into your email, voicemail, paging system, text messaging, black berry, desk top clock (obviously a product that would need to be made - not unlike sirrius radio where you can remove the system and plug into car or desktop radio)
Could also have a watch, bracelet or some other form of device that you could wear to have these reminders sent. Stylish enough where you could wear and still feel proud and not hindered by another product on your hip or wrist.
Reward: Would like to help
