Remote Controlled Door (RCD) Printer Friendly Version
Parts of this idea are being used for other purpose but here it is.
Suppose you are in you bedroom or working on something interesting and you don't want to be interrupted when suddenly someone knocks on your door.

The idea is to build or assemble from already present device a transmitter and reciever than can control the lock in the door thru a powerful magnet coil (or an alreday present mechanism can be found i the market-by mechanism i do mean the hole door mechanism).
The block diagram or sequence goes like this.

1)transmitter

2)reciever

3)switch (could be a sucession of a transistor and a timer to make sure the signal is present for enough time)

4)12v, 9v, 6v realy to control the coil mounted on the door or the door mechanism it self.

5)... (if any other steps required).
Apart from the bedroom door the device can be used mounted on any door whether the main gates or any another (don't know if the wireless accessed car work following the same or similar principle).
Reward: a prototype of the device would be given to the most helpful prs, post, comment(s).

Keyboards with feedback Printer Friendly Version
One of the main obstacles during typing on flat keyboard is deficiency of tactile feedback. So my idea is that each key vibrates with different amplitude or frequency when it pressed and when not. Space between keys not vibrating at all. G and H keys on qwerty vibrate differently from other keys (or just have usual marks). It will allow to create slim keyboards without moving parts and with tactile feedback.
Also, this idea can be used in desktop keyboards with different rows of keys having

different "feel". and in waterproof silicone keyboards to actuate tactile feedback.
P.S. Probably it is possible to detect pressing event by change of frequency of free silicon crystal when finger is touching it therefore simplifying construction

Using multiple cores in PC's Printer Friendly Version
Up till now, the operating systems in PCs use only the first core in the multicore CPUs. If you pull up the resource monitor in windows, you will see that the second core is only engaged when the first core reaches 100% usage. My idea is to have software developed that would tag each process in a program with an assigned core, assign it a range of memory to use and syncronize the output of the steams in the memory controller with clocking flags -- so that for instance voice and video would be produced at the correct time -- The main idea is to distibute the load of the program over ALL of the available cores simultaneously.
Reward: Increased speed and productivity, lower latency, decreased user wait times
