Transfer of Videos & Files to Apple Device Printer Friendly Version
Imagaine an Apple TV-sized device (maybe a bit thinner).
On the front there is a thin slip for a cd/dvd; below that are 2 usb slots and to the right of that are SD card openings. There is no screen.
This device can be connected through a USB cable to any Apple device - MacBook Air, iPod Touch, iPhone, and the iPad to name the important ones.
This device has its own built-in processor (the equivelant of the Apple A5 processor), a gigabyte of RAM, and a built-in hard drive from the iPod classic that is 160 gb.
Alone, this device accomplishes nothing, but the "iProduct" of your choice controls it through an app. The app can be used to take songs off the cd and store it on the hard drive. It will also add the songs to your library on the "iProduct" - same goes for pictures, videos, and other files.
The device contains its own built-in battery, but uses minimal power because there is no screen. The app displays everything. This device, when paired with an iPad, would make the regular MacBooks useless.
Reward: Please make it and give me one. I'd use it all the time.

Securing audio/visual equipment Printer Friendly Version
This is a very simple concept but I'm amazed that I haven't seen it yet. Why can't we have smart cards for audio and visual home equipment? Why not a smart card activated hi-fi? It won't turn on without the card and won't turn off unless you remove the card... Or what about the removeable fascia that was used for a car stereo? why not have a fascia that operates both your home and car stereo? I prefer the smart card idea though. If you lose it all you have to do is bring your receipt to the store and they can 'chip' a new one for you - maybe it would be linked to the serial number of the equipment? It just seems to me that since so many homes get broken into why can't your stereo or vcr or TV have that extra level of protection that makes them useless if they're stolen?
Reward: Getting the smart-card protected device for free would be reward enough for me.

Mobile Phone Add Business card Printer Friendly Version
How many times does someone hand you a printed business card that you can never find when you need it? Imagine a slot on your mobile that you slip the card into that scans/copies it for future reference?
Reward: Pat on the back or maybe a paper hat?
