Plug-in Thermostat Switch With Wireless Sensor Printer Friendly Version
This would be a device that you would plug into a wall and plug a heating appliance, such as a slow cooker or dehydrator, into the device. You would set the thermostat for the temperature you would like the food in the appliance to maintain, or possibly two temperatures: one for the appliance to turn on at when it falls below it and one for it to turn off at when it reaches it.
The sensor would be wireless, like some modern thermometers, and sealed such that it could be completely submerged in the food. Putting the sensor in the food is more accurate than putting it in the appliance, especially in a cold room.
Making it wireless and sealed would eliminate the problem of cords holding the lids and covers of appliances ajar. One could even screw the lid onto a jar with the sensor inside. This would be useful for anaerobic food ferments like sauerkraut. I would use it with a crockpot and a dehydrator that I bought at a thrift store.

Wireless Broadcasting of TV channels Printer Friendly Version
Why not have a TV receiver that can simultaneously translate up to 20 channels and send them wirelessly AKA broadcast them to the other TV's in the home. Room A wants to watch channel 2. Room A tunes their TV to channel 2 and the TV transmits to the receiver telling it to broadcast channel 2, therefore allowing the TVs in any room to receive channel 2. Up to 20 different TVs could tell the receiver to transmit a different channel. This would allow the simultaneous recording/watching of up to 20 channels in different rooms.
In addition allow any one TV to ask the receiver for up to five channels (for viewing and for recording), allowing you to record four channels simultaneously while being free to watch your TV program in real time all on one TV set.
If four TVs were each recording their max. of four unique channels and each of the four were displaying a unique program in real time, this would mean the receiver was broadcasting its maximum 20 unique channels.
Do I watch too much TV? No, but all the good stuff is on at the same time!

Magic Eye Wall Paper or Murals Printer Friendly Version
Have an entire wall or room look three-dimensional with Magic Eye wallpaper or murals. Either see designs, shapes, colors, objects, people or what ever. A whole theme or just the same thing over and over again like in the books. How about seeing a seven foot unicorn in 3-D on your wall. Or one of a child's dreams like Pooh Bear just before sleep. Really could help them relax. Most people can see them naturally or can see them with very little training. Personally I thought it was amazing in the books. You can see Magic Eye on your computer on the Web.
