Switch off electrics via keychain Printer Friendly Version
Simple idea, just add an on/off button for your keychain that is associated with your interior and headlights of your vehicle. How many times have you left the lights on and killed your battery, or been sitting in your house only to realize you left the lights on. I dont know if it's possible or not, but on that note, why not make a switch that enabled you to cut off any power the battery might be using while your car is off, just in case you forgot about something.

Monitoring the Elderly Living Alone via Motion Sensors Printer Friendly Version
Basically, each room in the house would be equipped with an IR motion sensor. These sensors would then be linked to a hub somewhere in the house via bluetooth, X-10 or whatever which in turn can communicate with a carer. The sensors can trigger an alarm if no motion is monitored, meaning the client may have fallen or worse. This idea seems fairly straight forward and I'd be surprised if people haven't thought of it already but I can't seem to find any company online that actually markets it as a product.

Door bell for the Blind Printer Friendly Version
When blind people go out for the day, they have no way of knowing who has visited their house. My idea is a combined doorbell where the visitor can leave a recorded message for the blind person when they return home.
Reward: Good feeling that I helped.
