Pet Scent Training Printer Friendly Version
A set of scents, in spray bottles, specified for a particular pet type and function.
Each scent represents an activity you would like your pet to do. Using their sense of smell they know to go outside, eat, sleep, use an indoor bathroom, stop making noise, or some other cognitive behavioral task. The scent is designed to disappear after a certain amount of time.
Reward: To train a rat in a maze by smell.

Ultra-Light Aircraft Printer Friendly Version
I called it the Creative Minds X1 and started designing it using a computer 3D Design Tool.
The original idea was for an ultra light aircraft powered by a very small and relatively cheap engine such as a motorcycle engine or (as many suggested) a big chainsaw engine.
I wanted the wings to be foldable/detachable so that it could fit onto a large trailer. I wanted the bodywork to be made mostly of moulded plastics, this turned out to be an extreamly expensive task. Sheet aluminium is probably a better idea.
Im posting it here simply because it might inspire somebody who has the money, the talent, the will - to go and try it. I believe I had the talent, and the will. I didnt have the money, the space or the contacts.
If you have any questions concerning original measurement ideas etc - please feel free to ask!
Reward: I would like its name to remain as Creative Minds X1 and I want to be recognized as the original designer.

Green Gym Equipment Printer Friendly Version
ON New Year's Eve I saw a program that took energy from stationary bikes and used it to power the ball drop in Times Square. What is someone used that same concept to power a gym? This could be used on treadmills, spin cycles, stationary bikes, row machines, and eliptical machines. It would be nice to have the device built into the equipment but people will not be willing to purchase new equipment up front, so it would need to be some type of enhancement that could be added to an existing machine until they could afford new equipment. The floors on most gyms are rubber if they needed to be grounded to something. I am not a product designer so couldn't suggest what it should look like or where to be placed on the equipment, but thought it would be wonderful for gyms to be able to create their own power or depending on were they are located, power for other area's. Gyms are located everywhere, in workplaces, free-standing buildings, apartment buildings, hospitals, and regular/strip malls. How great would that be to save money and be green.
