Velcro Gloves and Bats/Rackets/Clubs Printer Friendly Version
Every sport comes with something to hold onto in the proper way or place and you have to grip the object correctly again and again in the right place to get it right. So whether you are playing golf, baseball, or some sport with a racket you need to find the right way to hold it and you need to keep that hold in the perfect place the entire time you play while learning any sport. With velcro/sports gloves and velcro on the bat or object you are gripping, someone can place your hands in the right place and it will stay there with velcro.
If you color code all the positions then you already know where to grab the object with the velcro to keep them there. If a golf professional shows you where to grab your club you are definitely going to want to know how to keep that grip until your shot is over. Your sport can come with instructions as to where and how to grab the object/s in order to achieve optimal success in that field of sport. This would make a great gift for any sports enthusiast!

Nerf Cars Printer Friendly Version
If all cars were made of spongy, "nerf-like" material, and perhaps had roller-ball wheels, and definitely made to run a bit slower on freeways - we could save thousands of lives each year - and have great fun at the same time. Imagine how many bazillions could be saved thru reduced (or eliminated!) insurance needs, and cheaper fuel costs... and repairs would be rare and cheap, too. We don't really need to race to work at 80 or even 55 mph.
Imagine how much more fun it would be to drive places. If someone hit your car you would probably laugh and wave! If I had to drive to work every day, I'd like it to be in a nerf car. It could change the world.
Reward: I'd like the chance to work on this project... or maybe just a bright red nerf car of my own.

Pocket Reading Device Printer Friendly Version
My son is in fifth grade. He is dyslexic. It takes him at least 3 times longer to read materials than other children his age. He usually does not comprehend what he reads. However, he is very smart. If someone reads to him, he understands very well and is able to answer any question asked him about the material. I have to read everything to him in the afternoons and evenings to prepare him to go to school the next day and be able to pass. He is very self conscious and hates to be made fun of for his lack of reading skills. When the teacher has to read to him in front of the class, he gets very embarrassed. Many times he gets bad grades because he does not want to ask questions or get help from the teacher because of his embarrassment.
The invention I would like to see become a reality is as follows: A hand-held, portable, small machine that a person can scan reading material with, one line at a time. The machine will have a computer chip that will read the information and repeat the information in audible sound to the reader. This sound should be able to come to the reader through an earplug. This device needs to be small and inconspicuous. I am thinking it would look like a pocket tape recorder with earplugs and another cord with a small reading attachment that would be used to scan with. Or possibly, instead of a second cord, the scanner would be built into the pocket sized device and the entire device would be passed over the reading material to scan it. My son could use this device from now on. He could read the newspaper, directions on packages, books, etc. It would open up a whole new world for him and help him to be the successful adult that I know he can become. Will someone creative please help me make this a reality!!
