| 50 Year Hanging Calendar 
I hate to go out every year and have to pick out a new calandar! Why can't someone make one last for fifty years so that people like me can hang them on the wall and when they drag you out dead in fifty years they would find the only clean spot in your place would be behind your fifty year calandar. Why every year? Why a desk calendar?I don't want a one year calandar and I don't think you can write on a desk calandar. Just make the pictures different for each month, make them good photos or drawings or paintings or suprise me with all of that stuff. I just need a place to write down birthday's, vacations, appointments, and everything else. If anything, make the calandar bigger so that I can write a whole lot of stuff on one day. I might actually be going to the Dentist on my Father's Birthday and I need more room on that Tuesday to write it down on. Of course you know that the day would be different every year but, we have ways of knowing that ahead of time, especially with my new and improved version of the over-sized fifty year hanging calandar.Reward: Credit

| Smart Fire Alarm
I have this rotten fire alarm that goes off every time I make ham and eggs in the morning. What I would need is a smart fire alarm with a "nose" that can distinguish between "good" and "bad" smoke. So when I make breakfast in the morning, the alarm will say "Yummy, that's bacon!" and keep silent.Reward: Yep, I want one of those for my living room!!!

| Mobile Residential Temperature Control
Have you ever been in bed in the middle of the night and didn't want to get up to turn on the thermostat (heater/ac) in order to maintain a comfortable temperature in the bedroom so that you can have a peaceful night's sleep? Well, with the invention of the mobile thermostat, you will never encounter this dilemma again.This device is a remote control to the main thermostat in the house that emits an electronic signal to the (main) thermostat basically to control the temperature as recorded by multiple temperature monitors throughout the house that just report the current temperature in each room by sending a signal that identifies the location of that particular monitor and the current temperature in the room. Since most thermostats aren't located in the bedroom and are moreso designed to control temperatures in common areas, my idea is to have electronic vents (also controlled by the remote) that you can open and close at the push of a button. This way, you can warm up the bathroom in the winter without getting up from your bed until it has reached your desired level of comfort. In addition to electronic vents, you will also need temperature monitors that communicate with the remote and alert you when the desired area has reached the target temperature.Thus, you will be able to heat and cool one room at a time at your leisure without having to do more than push a button. Also, this will do wonders for energy saving and keeping those energy bills under control.Reward: Recognition and to own the original prototype.
