OLED Wrist Watch Printer Friendly Version
Input: Light, Temperature, Time (Atomic Clock) or Computer updated, Battery Power (Time Remaining), Touch Screen (stylus control), Heart Rate/Beat (Pulse), Computer connection (USB)
Visual Description of Face: Round OLED screen set inside metallic case, Side Mount Button (SMB)
Software Description: Software should be open source allowing programmers to create custom displays and functions. The watch should be allowed to connect to a computer via a docking station and download this software from the computers hard drive. Software should include use of all, some or none of the sensors on the watch (battery power, temperature, etc...)
Default Software Display:

I. The OLED should be bright enough and with enough contrast to display in strong sunlight. As the light diminishes the OLED should power down reducing the level of illumination. Default display should be blue at night and white in the day.

II. Display should be capable of inverting its pixel display.

III. Cubic Zirconium or diamond insets should have back lighting to increase reflections and add possible color shifting effects.

IV. All displays should be shader capable to create 3D effects if desired (background animations, clock hand animations, calendar reminders, incoming e-mails/text messages).

V. The SMB should control display views from first screen to second, second to third etc...

VI. First Screen

1. The watch should have three first screen displays. A digital display, an analog display, or a combination of displays.

2. The battery time remaining should be displayed as the power consumption may be high.

VII. Second Screen

1. Software should include a calendar able to scroll forward and backward (delta 10years). Allow calendar uploads to the watch through the computer that triggering a visual, audio, or combination alarm (selectable by the owner via the software.

VIII. Third Screen

Hardware:

I. The screen or OLED pad should be high resolution (2000dpi or greater).

II. The battery should be large high capacity Rechargeable battery/long life (1 year or more).

III. CPU should be powerful enough to power 3D graphics.

IV. Water proof/resistant battery recharge plates on exterior of watch side.

V. Docking station both recharges and allows uploads to the computer via USB

VI. USB cable connector located under a gasket protected metal plate on the bottom of the watch.

VII. Radio connection to Atomic transmitting station or an auto-update from the computer via software.

VIII. Pulse, pace, temperature (body or environment) monitors for athletes.

Combo CB (Citizens Band) antenna & fishing pole. Printer Friendly Version
Someone just drove through my apartment parking lot with a half wave 'fiberglass' CB antenna (fishing pole length) mounted on their truck. When manufacturing the antenna, why not add the fishing line rings and fishing reel mounts into the fiber glass to create a dual purpose product (added value). I just did a google search and found that some people have wrapped wire around a fishing pool to make a cheap CB antenna but found nothing marketed the other way around -- a factory made CB antenna/fishing rod.
I suppose you might have to specially design the fishing line rings to prevent snagging on low overhanging trees and use a 'quick disconnect' at the base of the antenna because of the now increased popularity of the product among thieves but,.. it might be worth doing.
I must be overlooking something REALLY obvious because I can not believe someone hasn't done this already. However, you never know! My patent attorney (35 years experience) once advised me NOT to waste my money in an attempt to patent my "ROCKabsorber" because, although it was a great and badly needed mass market idea, it was so very VERY simple that I would have a better chance at winning the New York State Lottery. He was wrong.
My ROCKabsorber US patent number (expired) is 5,165,636 so, sometimes, no matter what anybody says, follow that dream!
For those that are curious, the ROCKabsorber is a self stabilizing chair/table/machine foot that eliminated the rocking problem -- even on cobble stone floors.

GPS Shock Collar System Printer Friendly Version
Purpose: To eliminate the need for fences to manage livestock.

Levels:

Level 1: A shock collar with a remote receiver that can be use to remotely control shocking of the wearer. Shock is administered by a capacitive device and on-board battery for charging.

Level 2: Add a transmitter to sense the livestock's temperature (to know the animal is alive) and to indicate battery charge state.

Level 3: Add a GPS monitoring system to transmit Lat/Long location codes when requested.

Level 4: Add software and PC card/remote receiver/transmitter to allow monitoring of multiple collars to track locations of wearers.

Level 5: Add software on collar to allow the user to program boundary corners by moving the collar to each corner of the desired enclosure and pressing a button on the collar to enter the lat/long into a corner list. The collar can then use this information with an onboard computer system to determine at periodic intervals (also programmable) if the collar is in or outside the boundary specified. If the condition is not desired (in or out) then a shock is administered by the collar. Shocks will also transmit a code so that the monitoring station can set off an alarm to alert the rancher that the battery may soon go dead and that an animal is outside its boundary.

Level 6: Add remote software that can reprogram the collars so that boundaries can be dynamically moved from a central location (your PC). Software can be developed to slowly move the boundaries over time to literally herd the animals to or from a desired location.

Usage:

With all these features and some training it should be possible to do ranch work entirely from you PC and remove the need for fencing entirely.

Potential: The market for this should be huge and it would revolutionize ranching. RFID chips could also become integrated into this technology.
Reward: If you ever get these collars made - just let me have free use of this on my own ranch.
