Compressed Powderized Paper Pill Binder Printer Friendly Version
Today's pill binders are usually sucrose (sugar) or lactose (like a milk product) which taste bad and sit very hard on the stomach making you feel sick for at least a short while but, if we use a compressed powderized paper as a binder for all pills then they would taste better (because you can't make chewable pills out of sucrose or lactose due to the bad taste) they could be flavored and when stomache acid hits paper, it seperates and temporarily coats your stomache like an ant-acid where your stomache would actually feel better rather than worse. Then it breaks down and passes through your system without any trouble. Many people make their own pills at home and powderized paper would be a great binder and it would cost much less that sugar or lactose. Also, alot of people are allergic to lactose or are lactose intolerant and would need the sucrose which makes pills more expensive or unavailable to that particular consumer. You could also make all of your pills chewable because paper will hold a good taste and is tasteless to begin with which means that it will hold a new flavor easily.

Rolling Rubber Wheel or Ball for Leg/Ankle Casts Printer Friendly Version
Right now we have a way to include anything into the plaster on the bottom of the foot for casts but, so far we have only added a rubber pad for stepping. The exact thing we don't want them to do. Stepping further injures the leg or foot or ankle.
If we add a caster ball or soft rubber wheel to the bottom of the cast, that is slow moving, then we can scoot the foot eliminating the stepping and allowing those with casts to keep up when walking next to a person without a cast and also would help speed up the healing process of the broken bone with no chance of reinjury. The key to this idea is that you would never have to lift your foot. You simply scoot your foot along any surface in a controled manner. We take stepping totally out of the picture.
Most of all buildings have handi-capped entries to them and you can scoot along where the wheel chairs go to get into the building. We make the wheel or caster-ball out of soft rubber and we slow it down with slower ball bearings or in the case of the caster, if it is made of soft rubber, it would already move slow where we wouldn't slip and fall due to your foot coming out from under you. Safe, convienient, and helps the healing process. It puts you back into physical movement, safely, where you can keep up with everyone else.

Portable Oxygen Source Printer Friendly Version
Idea: To make a light weight portable oxygen generator.
With the current alarming levels of Suspended Particulate Matter in air, there has been a corresponding increase in people with respiratory distress. A large number of portable oxygen devices are available in the market. These are either compressed gas cylinders, or chemical based generators. Some require an electric supply for use.
A few years back Hitachi came out with a membrane that can go on the grill of a window Air Conditioner, which would enrich the exit air from the normal 20% to 40% oxygen. This will not harm normal people but enormously reduce the respiratory distress of people suffering from this type of disorder.
Develop a wearable membrane based oxygen concentrator that can operate on the rather low differential pressure the human lung generates on inward breath.
Advantages. No power, no chemicals, no heavy compressed gas cylinders, and virtually no recurring cost.
Reward: Asthmatics can breathe easy
