Lazy Rod Printer Friendly Version
My idea came to me one day when I was fishing. The bugs were really bad and when I was reeling in my louwer I would have to stop so I could swat at the bug that was biting me. So I created an idea to have a fishing rod that with a push of a button I can reel in my louwer with one hand, and if I do get a fish on, I can reel it in normally not to take away the enjoyment of catching the fish. So you cast normaly and have the option to reel it in manualy or automaticaly with the drag set so it will slip or pull it in automaticaly with no drag.
Reward: To help people with disablities enjoy fishing.

Expanding goals Printer Friendly Version
Ever watch a soccer game where by the 28th minute you just knew there wouldn't be any goals scored that day? You could see it in some games in the world cup - in some games, both teams were so scared of being scored upon that they only attacked with one man, who had to deal with ten defenders. Boring!
My idea is to introduce goals that slowly become larger, maybe a foot in width and heigth per five minutes, in the second half of scoreless games. Late in the game, those huge goals will look so tempting and be so easy to score on that the fans will see lots and lots of goals. Wouldn't that be great?
Reward: $9 (ok, free match tickets would do as well, as long as they go with free peanuts).

Bicycle Frame Lock Printer Friendly Version
Based on the idea of the "detachable faceplate" for car stereos, this bicycle frame lock about 2 1/2 inches long, is actually a small but critical part of the bike's frame. It has a 5-number combination lock. Without it securely fastened, the bike frame essentially has a "hole" in it and will collapse when someone sits on it.
Made of steel or titanium, this tubular lock is highly portable and can be taken anywhere. In combination with a strong, standard bike lock, it will thwart any thinking thief. What good is a bike with piece of the frame missing?
