The High Winger Printer Friendly Version
The design idea is for a medium to long range two-engine aircraft in either a larger wide body configuration or narrow body. The engines would be rear-mounted and be either similar to short distance airbus engines or those on longer distance Boeing 787 or 777 aircraft. The high wing design is based on the BAe 146/ Avro RJ and some turbo prop aircraft. The main differences are that this design could be larger or smaller and the engines are rear mounted similar to the MD 88 and others. The safety and passenger aspects of this design are listed below
Safety
As the this is a high wing design fuel tanks would be above he ground and would not be compromised in a wheels up emergency landing. The engines are also above ground level and would not be compromised in an emergency wheels-up landing. The mid wheel nacelles would be wide enough to prevent the plane from tipping over in a wheels-up emergency landing and could be equipped with inflatable air bags to act as buoyancy devices in case of a water landing. Also due to the high wing and high engine design these would not snag on waves or dig into the water if an emergency landing on water is required.
Passenger Comfort
Unlike the Avro (which is a high wing design with engines attached underneath the wings) and other traditional low wing designs, all window-seat passengers would have excellent views, and with a rear engine design noise levels would be acceptable.

Phone Number-License Plate Printer Friendly Version
Over the years, there've been uncounted attempts to fight rough driving, but none of them has been really successful. Why not put the driver's phone number on the license plate? You bet that driving will never be the same again!
Reward: The result will be rewarding enough.

U-Turn Signal Printer Friendly Version
Make a device for cars that can signal to the drivers turning right onto a street that people in the left turn lane (across from people turning right) are going to make a U-Turn, not just turn left. I have seen sooo many near misses because drivers don't realize someone is about to make a U-Turn instead of a regular left turn.
Reward: Free car insurance for the rest of my life. I live in California, for goodness sakes!
