T-FIN Printer Friendly Version
I just bought a dodge hemi express it's a very nicely built eye catcher. A week ago my father asked me if he could borrow my 24" extention ladder. So I went to load it in my new truck and I found a prob. I could lean it on my tailgate or on the cab. Either way I'm looking at some pretty ugly scratches. So like everyone does I put a rag between the ladder and the cab and tied it down. As I was driving I thought "there's got to be a better way". My truck would look rediculous with a headache rack. So how about a rubber fin on the upper rear of the cab. It would swoop up like a car fin to give it style (not too high), yet rubber so ladders or pipes pose no further prob...
Reward: Better looking hemi / no scratches

Emergency Alert System for Cell Phones and Instant Messaging Printer Friendly Version
Just recently my father's van was stolen from our driveway; with over 5,000 dollars of tools inside. We did report it to the police, but living among the millions of people who also live in Denver, and the fact that it has been four days, my dad considers it a tragic loss.
Lojack would have been a great but now it's to late.
I am proposing a simple cell phone system that would benefit tragic loss, missing persons, advance weather warning, and everything you need to know right at your fingertips. With the advent of cell phones that can display pictures, "and video" people could buy into a system that gives you alerts to your specific area. Kinda like the new "MSN direct watch" (see http://www.msn.com).
Let's say your local bank was robbed and the bank got a good picture of the thief. The bank in conjection with news, and police, would use your phone to alert you to this. If your car was stolen, give the police a picture and within minutes everyone with a picture phone are scanning the highways and byways for a certain vehicle. Just got hijacked? Take a quick picture of the suspect! Or your car driving away. If you can.
What about the innocent? Let the police handle that. And if you'r edoing anything wrong, you deserve to have your face pasted up for the public to see.
It would be like a reverse 911 for cell phones. "Calling ALL cars" suspect on the lose at fifth and main!
Reward: A cool picture phone, and the service, of course.

Conveyor belt hospital bed Printer Friendly Version
I just remember my father being in the hospital very sick, and after being in the bed for so long and shifting... or not shifting he would end up moving down where his feet would almost be at the bottom of his bed. We had to call the nurse or nurses aid to pull him up in his bed since he was too sick and weak to push himself up in bed. Every time my dad went to the bathroom we had to get someone to help adjust him back in his bad. This was also the case for my husbands grandma when she was ill and my grandma recently when she had back surgery. I was thinking it would be great if there was a safe way to create a hospital bed with a slow moving conveyor belt. Basically the mattress would be made so it was in a loop, flexible yet comfortable, so it could wrap around the core part of the table/bed. It would also have to have a sensor so it would never throw the person off the bed once it pulled them back to the top for comfort or adjustment. It could also help the nurses or aids move the patients back in the bed when the person was weak. The button would be located with all the other bed adjustment buttons and would work very slow. It also might need a lock, in case someone should not be adjusted or keep someone from accidentally pushing it. I just think it would help patients/families feel a little more in control of their comfort without having to feel uncomfortable for two long while waiting for help.... not to mention it could hopefully free up time for the aids and nurses since they are already so under staffed in the hospitals today.
Reward: Just let me know if it's in the works and send me a link once it's on the market so I can see the results :) Thanks!
