General Description:I really dislike being woken by mosquitos during the night buzzing around my ears or biting me. The basic idea I have is to create a star-wars style laser based mozzie zapper that will work most effectively during the sleeping hours of the night. The zapper will be chemical free, which will make it safe to use in a babies room or for people with allergies.To understand the method of implementation, a number of facts are required to be understood...* The audio frequency created by the beating of a mosquitos wings is within a particular range of frequencies - This allows us to target that specific frequency range. * An accurate point in space can be pin-pointed using triangulation. * A laser can have it's output wavelength adjusted to effect objects of particular thicknesses (this works using resonant theory) and can have it's pulse adjusted allowing it to be most effective at a specific focal point.Method of implimentation:* Set up a room with four or more sensitive microphones - three of them must be evenly spaced around the upper circumference of the room and the fourth (and others added for accuracy to get around obsticles such as furniture etc) will need to be added to the lowest point of the room - at least four listening points are required to triangulate in three dimensions. * The audio signal collected by the microphones is filtered to "listen" to only the frequency range that is emitted by mosquito wings. * When the microphones detect a point source emitting audio within this frequency (ie - they "hear" a mozzie) the exact location in the room can be identified using triangulation. * The correct pulse rate can then be calculated by the main system and the laser can be focused to the exact location in the room. * At this point the laser is pulsed - which basically burns the wings off the mozzie. The mozzie will then die relatively quickly after the wings have been cooked off if not from trauma, then from starvation... Regardless, the mozzie will not be flying around any more. * The mozzies can then simply be swept or vacuumed up in the morning.Advantages: * Due to the fact that the laser will be focussed to that point and the pulse width can be adjusted to suite, there is no chance of cooking your curtains or anything silly like that. * No chemicals * SafeDisadvantages: * Cost of manufactrue, and therefore cost to consumer.Reward: free lifetime personal use of the finished product
Now, I'm sure some of you have heard of voice changers. But I've got a new concept. It looks like a voice changer, but on this you can record any person's voice, then speak through the tiny mic and you'll sound just like them. You can record up to 4 voices and change them by a little button. It would be battery opperated of course. Just an electronic toy for all ages.Reward: Hours of fun.

This invention, if developed, will create a solution to that problem. Now we present you with a solution. TRADE – Translator device.We want to describe the parts that are in this invention:1) Processor: The processor is very complex. It has many functions. First, it translates what you are saying to the person who is talking to you; second it grabs the information that the receptor grabs and translates back to you. There is a small speaker on the processor, but it is loud enough for the person to hear it. It also has a cell phone plug, where you plug the cell phone and it works just like you are talking in person. There are several chips that come with the processor, one for each language; you just have to attach the chip to the processor when you will speak. It also comes with a small briefcase where you would be able to keep all the parts together.2) Multi-shaped Receptor: The function of the receptor would be to grab whatever the person (who is talking to you) is saying and automatically transfer to the processor. The processor would translate the information to your language and you would hear what the person is saying right away. When you order the receptor you can choose the most convenient shape for you. These are some examples of receptor:3) Wireless Earpiece: The earpiece would be used for you to hear the translation of what the person is saying.The major thing about TRADE is that it can be used by anyone from all over the world. Tired of being cold during a power outage and having gas furnace that won't work because it is controlled by electricity. Most furnaces are controlled by a 110v circuit. Find that curcuit and install a double pole double throw switch. One end is the house circuit and one goes to a 110v 1000 watt inverter that you can hook up to a car or marine battery. This can keep your electricity to the furnace going and keep your furnace running. Just change the switch when the power goes out and change the switch when the power comes back on.Reward: whatever
My idea is to have an Automatic Nail Clipper/Cutter. The user should only have to insert the upper portion of his/her finger into this device. This device senses the extra grown up area of the nail and clips/cuts it gently.Additionally this device should have a filer as well so that after the Nail has been cut, it can be smoothened as well.Reward: A good digital camera.
