this actually to all people is being done already. however while it is deffinatly more efficient to draw the mechanical energy from the engine via the belt. this created an interesting problem for the new high tech hybrid cars that turn off their motors (rendering the ac useless) when normal cars wo...

Why not only a few large turbines to one large generator? as physics and engineering has proven in many tests beforehand. it is far more efficient to have fewer mechanical parts (being that mechanical parts have a terrable efficiency) the cost per kilowatt actually would rise with the number of par...

-A heat transfer liquid filled coil could draw away the waste heat from the engine and transfer it for warming up the interiors, and the wind/rear screens of the vehicles in winters/cold weather. this has existed nearly as long as the automobile has had a radiator this peticular device happens to b...

no the water levels on each side are not level this is due to gravitational forces from the moon and the sun. the level difference on each side of the canal is the reason that the canal has to have water gates. ( water gates are to allow ships to be raised or lowered without trying to force their wa...

The analogy of running the engine on the battery needs to be qualified. There are any number of cars, hoists, and fork-lift trucks working continuously on batteries. The design has to take care of the ampere-hour rating for each device. There is nothing technically obnoxious about a 12 VDC supply f...

I quite agree. I am no theif and i can rip out an alarm and throw it out the window in 5 mins. simply because i am a good mechanic. i can even bypass an immobiliser in the process. however i will tell you that my buddy has an alarm which does not make any noise by the car yet if something is happeni...

there is a little shop near my capmus whish has a $300 (Canadian funds seeing as i live in Vancouver.) skateboard that has Full suspension and brakes and as a given bonus you get a 49cc 2-stroke engine on the back of it. all with a control much like a waterski tow handle except that it has a throttl...

I am at a satellite campus Of BCIT (British Columbia institute of technlogy) My cam...

I quite agree with the big SUV's being the problem. A small woman that lives around my area driving her kids to school and picking up the families groceries is the biggest load she moves at any given time. SHE DOES NOT NEED TO DO IT IN A HUMMER!

the bin could be made quieter but not perfectally silent by going to more of a mailbox type of delivery and simply making the bin sealed with sound dampening material between 2 layers of sheet metal or plate except for the door in which to put the glass in. then it would still be easy to make a larg...
