For those of us that still prefer to feel the wind in our hair on the slopes as opposed to wearing helmets all day. Wool hats and polar fleece headbands (and neck gaitors) are great when the weather cooperates. On snowy days, you just get covered and frosted over as it melts and re-freezes you into a yetti.
I have made some hats, headbands, ,and neck gaitors using fleece on the inside and spandex (way cool patterns!!) on the outside. Snow never sticks. The material still allows the item to stretch to fit. And I'm just as toasty as ever.
Somebody please make these available to the general public before I go blind at my sewing machine!
