Obsessed by the improvements of StarTrek and the fourth millennium, while feeling restricted by the limits of today's technology or that boring second law of thermodynamics? Just let your imagination flow - you needn't be Scotty to beam your thoughts in here!

I have had very bad luck with wireless internet routers in the past (of course, I always buy the cheapest one at WalMart).

How about a router that is able to direct its signal towards your WiFi enabled device (laptop, smartphone, etc)? The router would find devices within its range, then adjust its transmitter until the connection is optimal.

Instead of transmitting an omnidirectional signal, this router would effectively be "tracking" WiFi devices around your home and improving the connection, no matter where you are. This would help eliminate those annoying dead spots.
