Grass that Glows at Night
A genetic mutation of grass crossed with algee that glows
or rare earth phosphorus that absorbs light during the day
sprinkeled on road mediums for safety and golf courses so that
you could play golf in the evening. I have explored the rare earth
materials and they would require a binder. The genetic mutation
of grass has potential but requires sientific research. If it is possible it would be a big safety boon and for golf it would open up the industry to a whole new market
of golfers that work during the day.
Any thoughts?

Grass grows because of the energy stored during photosynthesis when the sun is out. (the moon has no direct effect on photosynthesis.......some plant movement but it is not the big energy provider as is the sun) Respiration is the reversal where the energy trapped in the "sugar" molecule made during photosynthesis is released withing the plant and is used in the recombination of elements brought in from the soil as well as the pores into various enzymes and eventually into materials used in building "plant parts."

The sun (or moon) doesn't cause growth, but rather the storage of carbohydrates and the energy within the chemical bonds that "cause" growth. Growth can occur both in light or day IF there is stored carbohydrates to run the respiration (since it occurs both in light and dark). If a plant runs out of carbohydrates, it cannot grow and will die.
