Obsessed by the improvements of StarTrek and the fourth millennium, while feeling restricted by the limits of today's technology or that boring second law of thermodynamics? Just let your imagination flow - you needn't be Scotty to beam your thoughts in here!

Here's one that will take over gaming 10 years from now. A real Holodeck room in your house where you can battle and adventure in virtual reality, but with touch. Be a gladiator or ninja or indiana jones.

Reward: xbox for now

Current technology can do the holograms but, touch is something altogether different. To 'feel' a hologram, I'm guessing you would have to create a twin or exact duplicate of that hologram with a sound hologram. The sound would be outside the human hearing range (probably ultrasonic) and only be directed at points where your body contacts a hologram. This way, if you touch a VISUAL hologram, the SOUND hologram intersects at the point of touch and emulates what it is suppose to feel like. This would, in effect, cause a PHYSICAL hologram at the point of touch. Hope this helps.

It's so hard to explain things like this without drawings.
