Obsessed by the improvements of StarTrek and the fourth millennium, while feeling restricted by the limits of today's technology or that boring second law of thermodynamics? Just let your imagination flow - you needn't be Scotty to beam your thoughts in here!

they already have gold makers, they are called particle accelerators and they cost too much to be worthwhile.

Back in mideval times you were a gold maker if you were an alchemist. Alchemy is a "science" full of trying to accomplish many things, and one of those things was turning lead into gold. No one ever succeeded, not even Eienstein (who was an amateur alchemist).

And if you want to make your own particle accelerator, the first issue of Make Magazine tells you how. It won't get you gold, but you'll have a particle accelerator.

Finally, how would you "pour" heat onto something?
