Create pants or chaps like garment that can be inflated to assist elderly and handicapped people with rising and standing.

Alternative - use "memory material" and switch the pants on or off to straighten legs i.e. lift the person up.

Reward: Recognition on the patent or input on the name. Safer and more ergonomic aid for assisting healthcare workers.

Using a CO2 cartridge like the large ones used to inflate rubber rafts would be a good way to accomplish this. The prototype could be built on a common sewing machine. Adding elastic would allow the pants to regain their original shape (deflate) once the person is on their feet. My brother was in a wheel chair for years and this would definately help health care workers get people on their feet. You should do this!
