Imagine each road signalization panel equipped with an emitter and each vehicle equipped with a receiver. Suppose you enter a zone i.e. of 50 km/h, the car receives a signal from the panel's emitter warning the conductor to slow down, or, more aggressively, will automatically reduce the speed of the vehicle to the corresponding information received from the panel's type.

Speeding tickets pay for cop cars and cop salaries. This is why they put speed traps at the BOTTOM of steep hills instead at the top. If they only wanted people who KNOWINGLY speed, the traps would always be at the top. Sometimes I think this is the real reason all the US speed limits were reduced to 55mph -- to increase speeding tickets.
