For extinguishing fires in household or general places,
1) a mixture of water and powder asbestos could be used to cover the flames and restrict the supply of oxygen to the object under fire.
2) a mixture of lime and water could be used for the same purpose. For large scale fires in woodlands and oil-refineries, such a mechanism should be devised so that the supply of surrounding oxygen from the atmosphere is stopped at the effected places. It is suggested that the area should be camouflaged by using carbon-dioxide gas, which could be produced by throwing carbon-dioxide producing agents on the burning fire. It is also suggested that the area around the burning fires could be shielded by provision of inert gases.
