There are many advantages to Solidified petrolium products.
Mainly they could make tires and shoes out of it and they would grip better and they wouldn't mark floors or streets.
I think pencil mark erasers or clothes for the outdoors or anything from wire coatings to toys.
Anthing imaginable can be made from it.
Cheaper than rubber. Rubber comes mainly from plants and is expensive mainly because it is an import but, petrolium is widely used in liquid form like the gas your car drives on and vasaline is petrolium (A more solid form). One step further than vasaline is a totally solid form.

8-o The vast majority of tires are already made of synthetic rubber anyway (and of course it's based on petrolium). As far as I know, virtually *anything* we use in our everyday life can be made off petrolium, but it should be avoided where possible, because mineral oil isn't renewable. :-?
