Soap is used every day in all ways but it has a problem. It doesn't stay on your body, or anything else, in the shower and at other times.
You waste much of it and it doesn't do a full job of cleaning.
If the soap was like a Baking Soda tooth paste that went on and stayed on long enough to clean and remove smells, then it would be a more useful soap to us.
This would defeat the soaps that glide off when water is applied.

1. Turn on water.
2. Make body wet.
3. Turn water off (or direct it elsewhere).
4. Apply soap. Use sponge to save even more soap (sponge makes foam and can apply soap very efficiently).
5. Wait for soap to clean and remove smells.
6. Turn water on.
7. Wash off soap.

Just imagine soap that stays on your body and can't be washed off that easily. It would cause burns on your skin and people would start sueing soap companies.

What about just any everyday soap that takes longer to wash off directly under the water pressure so you never have to come out of the water to lather up. When you come out of the water sometimes it's really a cold shock or more slippery off the mat so, we need to stay under the water and on the mat.
It just lathers while under the shower head or bath.
It would lather whether you were under the water or not.
Try to apply soap under water. What happens? It just goes away and doesn't really clean anything.

A soap paste that stays on you for longer periods of time (Like 30 seconds or a minute) but, is just thicker and non-abrasive so, it does no damage to your skin. It would most likely be a body wash but, I can see it in a bar form as well.
It would allow the user to stay in the warm water in a shower or bath and not have to get cold or dry to put on or lather the soap.
