energy from the sea

i thought of wind farm energy then thought what about ocean currents, use and underwater turbine that allows energy to be made having ocean currents flow threw it back and forth to create an underwater wind farm ..and my vision is not the traditional fan its a enclosed fan with fins able to blow back and forth..its just a major brain fart but i believe for someone who has the time to study and get a working prototype would be nice
