I think there should be a change of house style, insted of making it more moden we should go for more upto date looks.
I mean the growth of the population will increase a lot over the next 100 years so mayby if we looked for more of a compact look we wouldnt suffer an over population on house demands.

sounds silly all u gotta do is look at that film blade Runner to see what im on about, iv just used this as an idea may sound weard but in a way it could happen just like that.

How about rearrangeable solid walls that are sound and fire-proof?
If you need to make the masterbedroom smaller while making the son's room bigger, you can simply detach the seal and move the walls.
