Take an electric car or hybrid gas/electric car, add wind turbines inside the engine to take advantage of the energy of wind when traveling at higher speeds, deck all the outside surface area of the car in solar panels, and add regenerative breaking, so that when you break, it actually stores/replenishes the car's battery (I used to have an electric scooter that used this technology to help its battery last longer). Add all this to an electric vehicle, and you may not even have to plug it in at the end of the day.
