I was thinking one day if there a way to separate oxygen from water, so you can use it under water. The method to do this is called Electrolysis. You have a solar panel or a battery, then a carbon-based object, e.g. the graphite in a pencil. The electric current travels from the battery through wires to the graphite pencil. The electricity separates the oxygen, causing it to rise - usable for a diver to breathe.
