Dear Steve,
Some postings in other forums (e.g. Port of General Talk) direct you to sites that seem to offer various freebies.

Do such postings have any relevance in this site? They are harmless I guess. Not some sort of bulk mailing for direct marketing.

I'm aware of that and no, it shouldn't be like that. One day I'll install a system where visitors can alert me such posts so I can delete them much faster.
