I submitted an idea the other week but it hasn't been posted in either the accepted or rejected forum. I'm pretty sure I followed all of the rules too but I guess I probably didn't.

You did nothing wrong (at least not that I know of) - it's been a week since you submitted your idea, and I just didn't get to it yet.
