With two servo motors for X & Y axis, a diffused laser, and computer, you could write temporary ads and specials on thick clouds above beaches and heavily populated areas. The sign would come and go as clouds passed buy or an operator could target clouds like an anti-aircraft gunner.

pizza hut was thinking about doing some similar to this, but they wanted to project there logo onto the moon. I am not sure if this was just an idea or not. Apparently they wern't allowed to do it becasue of some enviromental lighting issue.

Wouldn't that be kind of dangerous to anyone/thing in the path of the laser? I'm guessing that it would powerful enough to cause retinal damage.
