Need some sort of Invention to for college project? Anybody?

I have a college project to make some sort of invention:
i got facilities of Lathes and Mills available to me, as well as sheet metal work facilities and bench fitting,
also i have mild steel, brass, copper metals
can anyone suggest something I could make?
