As shown by ancient Greek and Roman writers such as Polybius, and the American Founding Fathers in the Federalist Papers, historically the most stable forms of government have featured a strong executive, provided stability for the elite, and functions to serve the masses.

The best way to do this would be to randomly select a "House of Representatives" from a pool of ANYONE who wanted the job, and to sell the seats in the "Elite Senate" to the highest bidders, NO MATTER who they are or where they live, as the elite are multinational in truth.

The executive power would be divided between several people, screened by the Senate, and accepted by the Representatives. The Senate would have the power to shift a certain percentages of the resources and responsibilities around in the executive, for SHORT periods of time during emergencies, after which the shift had to be approved by the Representatives.

The Senate, which would be composed of the most successful business people, understand what it takes to be a good executive, where the masses do not, and as can seen by many presidential appointments, some presidents do not.

The Representatives would have power to select Judges, and to initiate budgets, which would have to be approved by the Senate. A system like this would make for a true democracy, would eliminate the hostility and division that results from the two party system, and it would prevent media, foreign nations, religions, unions, etc. from co-opting the government by various tactics.

The system would also protect the elite and give them the confidence to make the large, long term investments that are needed to build a viable society. As the power of the executive would be divided, it would be impossible for any one man to grab all of the power, and it would eliminate the situations where fools, wanabe tyrants, immoral people. And loose cannons have their hands on the nuclear button, and most of the power.

The responsibilities between the Senate and the Representatives would be pretty much along the same lines as it is in the American Congress. The Senate would be more responsible for treaties, and the Representatives would be most responsible for budgets, crime and punishment.

Ridiculous. why dont you go so far as to say that corporations should just controll the planet? they have all the money they need to buy seats,, and hey, they must know what theyre doing because theyre executives and they have all that money! This type of reasoning just baffles me. heres the thought process, A) this person is rich B) he must be good at what he does to be rich C) if hes good at leading a bussiness, which he must be because hes rich, he must be a good leader in all aspects of life.
well let me point out a few obvious flaws, in accordance with your line of thinkin, kenneth lay, the ceo of enron, who was quite rich, and people like him, should be in controll of the "free" world. little problem, him and many like him are corrupt weasels, kenny boy for instance was involed in insider trading, the stealling of millions upon millions of dollars of employee pensions,, etc. Just because a person has accumulated material wealth doesnt mean they have the moral fiber or even mentall intellect to govern.

Smacky is right. If anything we need to minimize the link between money and power as much as possible. If democracy in the American sense is to expand to its potential, while at the same time allowing capitalism to expand to its, the two need to stay largely out of each other's business.

The senate's votes are controlled now anyway by the corporations, who give "donations" to the senator. the senator votes in favor of the corporations, right?

Some senators are even major investors or owners of companiesm then vote on bills that would favor their business or investment. They then do this for other executives and voila! The senate's makes their votes, they get rich, their friends get rich and some of us slave out lives working for them ;-D

Well actually, probably the best(in my mind) form of government would be a smaller Congress and give the President more power, but alow the congress to over ride whatever the President does. The supreme count needs to have an age limit and be re-enstated every 12 years or so.
